Chinese pianist Yingdi Sun will give a concert at Tianjin Grand Theatre on 20th April, sharing the stage with American conductor David Stern. accompanied by Tianjin Grand Opera Orchestra.

Yingdi Sun won the first place at the prestigious 7th International Franz Liszt Piano Competition, which was held in Utrecht in 2005. After the competition, Sun embarked on his international concert tour.
David Stern is an American conductor born on May 21, 1963. He is the son of violinist Isaac Stern. David started his career as an assistant to John Eliot Gardiner, then as a principal conductor of Concerto K.In. Then he became the Music Director of the Israel Opera and of the St. Gallen Symphony Orchestra and Opera (Switzerland). In the past decades, David Stern has collaborated with modern orchestras such as the Basel Chamber Orchestra and the London Mozart Players. He founded the Opera Fuoco ensemble in 2003 .

The orchestra is frequently invited to perform at Korea, Germany, Russia, Holand, Singapore, Indonesia, Mongolia, Hongkong and Taiwan in cooperation with numerous of the world’s top conductors several times. In 2003, TGOO was invited by Japanese Department of Culture to gave a successful concert on the second “Asia Symphony Festival”.
