Tianjin Lingang Eco-wetland Park

Tianjin Lingang Eco-wetland Park, the largest artificial wetland park nationwide, is set to open to the public in May this year.

Covering an area of 630,000 square meters, Lingang Eco-wetland Park is divided into 3 scenic zones including a regulating pond, a subsurface flow wetland, and a lake district.

Lingang Eco-wetland Park has planted 28,000 arbors and 83,000 shrubs in a 1.5km*0.5km park, and introduced more than 30 aquatic ground-cover plants to restore water quality.

The sewage from enterprises in Lingang Industry Zone will no longer discharge into Bohai. The eco-wetland system is expected to purify 17,500 tonnes of sewage every day in 2015.

The butterfly-shaped eco-wetland park will build an artificial sand beach, 34 sightseeing bridges, 6 water-friendly platforms and 2 large-scale squares.

Apart from 10 scenic spots in the park, an underwater gallery, with a length of about 20 meters, will be set up in the subsurface flow wetland zone.
