The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin, officially opened its doors today (18 October) to become the hotel operator's tenth property in China.
The city centre Art Deco-style hotel has a 1,050sqm versatile grand ballroom and a courtyard, inspired by European palaces, for corporate meetings and events.
It has 277 guest rooms and 53 suites created by hospitality designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, a spa and four restaurants: a lobby lounge serving cocktails and afternoon tea; an open kitchen offering all-day dining; a restaurant serving contemporary Cantonese creations; and a lifestyle bar and lounge with DJs, private wine and cigar rooms.
Herve Humler, president and chief operations officer of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, said: "The opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin, in one of China’s most strategically important cities reflects our desire to meet the growing Chinese appetite for international luxury hospitality experiences."
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company operates 81 hotels worldwide, with more than 30 projects under development.
